Sequins September Blog Hop

Ik schreef me in voor Sequintastic September, georganiseerd door Sarah van Saturday Sequins.

En vandaag is de dag!

And the reveal is TODAY!

Pailletten doen me denken aan vroeger, toen ik er isomo beeldjes vol mee prikte. Die hobby ben ik ontgroeid en ik gebruikte nooit eerder pailetten in mijn juwelen.

Ik heb dus lang nagedacht over wat ik zou maken maar heb uiteindelijk voor een armband gekozen.

Sequins make me think of polystyreen figures.. When I was little I decorated polystyreen figures with sequins.. That is not longer my hobby and I never have used sequins in my jewelry before..
So it took a file to decide what I was going to make.. finally I decided to make a bracelet.

Ik gebruikte lint waar pailletten op gestikt zijn.

Daar bovenop naaide ik nog een pailletje met een kraal.

I used some sequins ribbon.

On top of it I stiched a round sequin with a little bead.

Ik maakte een eenvoudig slotje met ijzerdraad en een kraal.
Klaar !

I made a simple closure with metal wire.

Done!

Afgelopen weekend ging ik naar een hobby beurs en kocht ik heel wat leuke spulletjes!

Last weekend I went to a hobby fair and I bought some new stuff!

Shades of Blue

Ik maakte een ketting met allerlei tinten blauw.

I made a necklace with all different shades of blue.

Dit is een 4-seizoenen ketting :)

Je kunt hem bij heel wat kleuren dragen.

This is a 4-seasons necklace :)

You can wear it with a lot of colors.

Ik gebruikte kunststof kralen, glaskralen, polymeer klei en metalen kralen.

I used plastic beads, glass beads, polymer clay and metal beads.

Deze zomer vonden mijn kleine nichtje en haar ouders deze leuke schelpjes op het strand. 

Er zaten gaatjes in en ze vroegen mij om er een ketting mee te maken voor haar.

This summer my little cousin and her parents found these very cute shells at the beach.

They had tiny holes and they asked me to make a necklace for her with them.

Ik stond versteld van het feit dat de schelpjes allemaal een gaatje hadden op dezelfde plaats, ik had dit nog nooit eerder gezien.

De natuur kan toch mooi zijn :)

Heel leuk om met zo'n natuurlijk materiaal te kunnen werken.

I was amazed by the fact that those shells had little holes all at the same spot, I had never seen this before.

Nature can be beautiful ! :)

It was very nice to work with such a natural material.

ABS Monthly Challenge - winner!

Ze zijn echt heel erg mooi en ik ben er dan ook super blij mee!

Made some beads..

Ik hou ervan om mijn kralen zelf te maken, vooral met polymeer klei.

Telkens bekom je een ander resultaat dus je hebt steeds weer unieke kralen!

Hierboven zie je ovalen kralen die ik maakte van polymeer klei en bladgoud.

I really love making my own beads. Especially beads from polymer clay.

Every time your beads are different so they are really unique!

Here I made some oval beads with polymer clay and leaf metal.

Ik maakte ook een reeks ronde kralen.

Green Red Blue

Vandaag een ketting met bijpassende oorringen.

Voor mij een gewaagde kleurencombinatie :)

Today a necklace with a matching pair of earrings.

To me this is a daring color combo :)

Dit slotje met verdelers zorgt ervoor dat de ketting mooi valt wanneer je meer dan 1 streng gebruikt.

I used a clasp with end bars, I love to use this when I have more than 1 strand of beads.

De onregelmatigheid van de kralen vind ik erg leuk.

I love the irregular beads.

Ik koos voor de Fiji-eilanden, het lijkt mij een prachtige bestemming!

Onderaan kun je mijn moodboard zien die ik eerder maakte, de kleuren van het eiland zijn prachtig!

I chose the Fiji-islands, I think it is a wonderful destination!

Het kleine bloemetje zorgt voor een leuk accent.
